It is time for me to get back to the normal flow of mrstaalsoe.com and stop spamming you with ideas for Christmas gifs. So today we made the last outing of the year with our little Christianshavn Art Club and we stayed close to home both in distance and subject. We walked in what was the most beautiful day to the Designmuseum Danmark in Bredgade to visit the newly opened permanent exhibition of fashion and textiles, the museum have a large collection of items from the past 400 years and it has previously not been possible to have a selection on display. Now a wing of the museum is being use for a permanent three chaptered story Design and Decoration, Handicrafts and Industry, Body and Identity that chronologically will tell the you the story up to present – so if you like to read a book from page 1 turn left through the museum cafe and start at the beginning. There is also left room for small speciel exhibitions and for the opening this was used for the story of children’s clothing from the 1900s, this is a sneak peak of the museums big exhibition “Century of the Child” that will open in 2015.
