Ralph Lauren Week. Ups – New York fashion Week

It has been an amazing week, at Boozt we where so privilege to be invited to the launch of the new Polo Ralph Lauren women’s wear line in New York City and that we will launch today online in the Nordics. Actually the week started with a small trip to the Lauren Ralph Lauren showroom in Munich were I worked on the main SS15 collection together with the amazing Ms. Bergonzi and then out in Munich store checking the different Ralph Lauren brands at their partners, we shipped the Ralph Lauren store in Maximilianstraße 23 as I expected to see quite some stores the coming days.

Thuesday I went with Icelandair via Reykjavik’s Keflavík airport to JFK the service and space on the plane was good and I arrived well rested and got quickly through immigration jump in a yellow cap. Ralph Lauren hosted us at the Loews Regency Hotel at 540 Park Ave newly renovated in a modern Art Nouveau style quite suited to the style you often see in the Ralph Lauren Home Collection. We meet up with the other Nordic key accounts in the lobby and went to the Lauren Ralph Lauren showroom in midtown and was presented the entire collection also parts that are never showed in Europa, the Lauren denim was interesting. I was quite funny the they already knew in New York that I placed a special order on one of our best selling style and that does not exist in the US collection. Then it was off to the Double RL store 381/383 Bleecker Street in the Nordics you mainly see the denim by the collection is quite big an full of craftsmanship. The ladies in the group and I then went to Chelsea Market one of my favorite place to shop daily supplies and then a peck into Jeffery one of the best luxury multi brand retailers in the world. In the evening we had a brilliant tasting menu at Hakkasan after the dinner I caved in went to the hotel and to bed after being awake for more the 24 hours.

Wedensday we spilt up in two groups visit the different brand stores of Ralph Lauren, we stated a Bloomingdale’s the department store famous for their brown paper bag, the of to the to great Ralph Lauren Mansions on Madison Ave. they are an amazing display of storytelling and brand DNA, I am a big fan of the women’s and home mansion. before lunch we visit both Sak’s and Bergdorf Goodman and the lunch at Fred’s in Barney’s.

After launch we visited the Denim & Supply store at 99 University Place and then a the Ralph Lauren store in Prince Street SoHo. Then a quick glass of wine with my dear friend Ms. Mondrup.

Before the clue of the evening we where presented to the summer 2015 Polo Ralph Lauren Men’s Wear showroom just the same day approved by Mr. Ralph Lauren himself.Then taking the short walk down to the amazing first ever Polo Ralph Lauren Flagship Store 3000 2m of men’s and women’s wear with it’s own coffeeshop Ralph’s and later this fall also a bar and restaurant. It is fantastic to see the retail theater that Ralph Lauren is a master in at is full. After a walkthrough of the store with a little wine and finger food, we left the store by bus.

We arrived by Central Park walked over Strawberry Fields to the lake where an amazing 4D show of the Polo Ralph Lauren women’s collection was shown.

Not to forget it was also fashion week in New York, some some of our brands presented their collections. Ralph Lauren had their Ralph Lauren Collection show an amazing display of interpretations of safari details in embellish luxury fabrics not a collection we are ready for yet. Tommy Hilfiger had their Hilfiger Collection a walk down memory lane in th 70’s very cool and chic. Tibi had beautiful 3D like prints, Rebecca Minkoff carry on with the bags we love and finally Swedish brand Rodebjer show that they can standout and the international fashion scene.
