Today at 4 am the official grand opening of Copenhagen Street Food will take place, Copenhagen Street Food is run by the association Copenhagen Street Food for the Conservation of Thorshøjgaard and the original native red cattle. The idea is to have a colorful and organic food market in the center of Copenhagen. It is place on “Parirøen” The Paper Island in the port of Copenhagen it has been a shipyard and for many years warehouse space for paper and as the name alludes.

From to day you will be able to eat everything from Thai-food to Danish gourmet hot-dogs and drink a beer or great cocktails in the many different stands. Hear great live concerts and chill out music from the large sound system.

This for sure will be one of the my new summer hang-outs in Copenhagen and I will also stop by the new Henrik Vibskov cafe “Den Plettede Gris” The spotted Pig maybe a refers to his famous design project with big pig bags. A extra plus with this area is that it has the evening sun and just a little tip bring cash it is only the bars that has an ATM and for those with kids the Experimentarium is relocated there for the next two year.
