Last night was the final evening with my season card at the Royal Danish Theater as always accompanied by Mr. Graae as last year the season was closed by a guest performance of “Dansk Danseteater” and the world Premiere of Black Diamond and if you are really fast you can see the final performance tomorrow evening.
Black Diamond is a show carry by strong graphic aesthetics, a futuristic universe and strong physical performance. Quite intimidating is it just graphic and geometric figures, humans beings or insects, for me maybe insects devouring their Queen and giving life to a new. In a fantastic first black and then white custome and set inspired by the installation The Artificial Nature Project by Mette Ingvartsen and music by Trentemøller, Alexander Balanescu and Philip Glass. This was definitely a season show stopper leaving the audience craving a new season, with great performance from the Royal Danish Ballet and fantastic guest performance.
