Last nights 87th Oscars is the crown in the row of movie award shows but also the a key event for designers to showcase their talent of gown making. The night presented a safe and elegant night without super wow dresses nor any real disasters, you may read about badly fitted dresses and ill match outfits but at as many of the evening looks are borrowed feathers for pay what can I say – money talks.

Her are my three favourite gowns:

Two lovely British couples also attended with two nominated leading men with their wives and brought a bit of british nobility to the red carpet.
