Last week the SS17 fashion weeks ended with Paris Fashion Week, the weeks are changing and have for some time been on taking place both on the catwalk and the front row read social media, the importance of the celeberties and social media personalties has been growning and they now what to be call influencers, the shows are also changing especial during New York Fashion Week quite some show were “see now buy now” event where the collection were available right after the show.
Do these event belong during the fashion weeks and are the truly some new, I believe not the French Couture Houses had their daily shows a 3 pm unto the the 90’s and for many decades department stores showed the new season and promoting different occasion and categories a shows in store.
At the “see now buy now” shows the influencers are still wearing looks from coming collection and therefore not playing the part they ideally should play at these events and then the idea disappears and just makes it harder for the buyers and magazine that had to prepare for these collection as always several months before for the brands to have products in stores.
So maybe we need to have fashion weeks for the business and “see now buy now” events for the consumers.
