Once in a while things doesn’t go as you plan them, I have just have one of these weeks. Getting a bad cold at the last week of my fashion tour de force, not giving me room to give you my weekly updates but just focusing on getting some a the last big meeting with our strategy partners done and then to bed, trying to be ready for the next day. With you the great help from my partner in crime Mr. Lindeborg and his ever pill popping bag and the amazing teams a Day Birger et Mikkelsen and Hugo Boss I would have manager last week.
So here is a late view of what must have been one of the in Boozt history busiest show days during a Fashion Week. But first I must praise the different fair venues for after a couple of season with them fighting in the Danish press they pulled together giver great venues for brands and buyers, so just keep going.
Back to Thursday after good meetings with a few partners and a visit to the new Revoler venue in the meatpacking areaer. It was off to the first show of the day close to home at Christianshavn Papirøen. Baum & Pferdgarten a more elegant collection with the amazing prints and quirky details that the brand is so known for but a bit more implied and less in your face. They have always done this in the best way making you wanting to be close to people wearing their collections – now you even want to know more about them.
Then it was of to the newly renovated Hotel d’Anglerette and what is nearly family, Yde back in Copenhagen after two fantastic shows in Paris. Mr. Yde and his great team headed by Mr. Sabro Jensen are also evolving the Yde lady has fund time not only to look elegant at cocktail parties and late soriees – she has take powder over her daytime wardrobe and is a women in her own right, taking care of business but extremely sophisticated and on the go.
Then out of the center of the city for a bit of rock’n’roll with Ganni and an amazing collection of want has become part of the brands DNA with the must have outwear of every season, they can get customers in wool coat in high summer, just so they are sure to show that they got the coat before it was sold out. Stay tune for great lace and prints also.
Back at Papirøen for Bruuns Bazaar with a very intersting menswear collection following the changes Ms. Borregaard made to the womenswear the last couple of seasons, a inspiring direction for the brand.
Out of the center again, I really need a Boozt car and driver next time – but it is good to have things to aspire for as with Designers Remix, they will fit some great in to our assortment at Boozt so cross your fingers and see. They might come racing in in a 70’s racing car as at the show.
Through the city center and now at Østerbro meeting up with lovely colleagues for the last show of the evening and also for the third time that day the amazing Ms. Hillingsø. by Malene Birger always know have to give a show with international class and after getting me a little tremble it looks like the evolution of the brand is back on track with this fantastic collection of gentlewomen in pinstriped tailoring.
So after a hard-pressed day I disappeared into a couple of fashion parties and a cosy dinner. But get ready for a Autumn/winter 2015 filled with 70’s, amazing wool coats, a-line skirts, tailoring, grey, red, cobalt and if you are daring burned reds.
