Paris is the last of the big four and the end to what is going to be a preppy amazing and elegant season when in stores. The ladies haven’t even put their sandals on and I am already ready to see them in great fall looks – the thing with the sandals is not entirely true the day before yesterday in Copenhagen airport I meet part of the women’s buying department from Magasin du Nord and Ms. Haumann was showing of her beautiful lacked toes, so spring is here.
It has been a truly fantastic week quite black, but what fall season isn’t. Apart from the closing show of the week which all Danes have to be immensely proud of – Yde third time in a row on the official show calendar of Paris Fashion Week and even this time after also showing early this year during Copenhagen Fashion Week. At the Paris show the collection had a few extra pieces and some very luxurious furs, they made the collection even stronger and I hope that they will get credit for the hard work with even bigger order books.
Apart from the Yde show, I have to mention the English Rose of Alexander McQueen, the near jet feminine monochrome Valentino, the sculptured Balenciaga, the latex legged Dior, Balmain welcomed back the 80’s and off-course no visit to Paris with-out a break at one of the city renowned Brasseries this time amazingly done by Chanel.
